Historical Events Transcripts

Historical Events Transcripts

The Historical Events Transcripts API provides structured access to past earnings-call transcripts and associated metadata, powered by AIERA and delivered through the viaNexus Edge platform. This endpoint is designed to complement the Earnings Call Calendar by allowing consumers to move from event discovery to deep historical content access using a consistent identifier model.

Where the calendar answers when an event occurred and what it was, the Historical Events Transcripts API answers what was said. It delivers finalized transcripts and related contextual information for completed events, enabling research, analytics, compliance review, and AI-driven interpretation at scale.

The API supports multiple access patterns to fit different workflows. By default, it returns transcript data for the most recent completed event for a given company ticker. Consumers can also request the last N events, filter results over a specific date range, or retrieve the full transcript and metadata for a specific eventId previously identified via the calendar endpoint. This makes the API equally useful for lightweight “latest call” use cases and for systematic historical analysis across many events.

All transcript records are normalized and timestamped according to viaNexus conventions, allowing them to be easily joined with prices, fundamentals, news, and other datasets on the platform. Because the API is event-centric rather than document-centric, it aligns naturally with event-study frameworks and agent-based workflows, where transcripts are treated as structured data tied to a known corporate action rather than as standalone text files.

In practice, this endpoint turns earnings call transcripts into a queryable, programmatic dataset. Instead of manually downloading PDFs or scraping IR sites, consumers can reliably retrieve complete, machine-readable transcripts that plug directly into research pipelines, NLP models, compliance tooling, or internal knowledge systems.

Use Cases

Use Cases

  • Post-earnings research and analysis Retrieve finalized transcripts immediately after an earnings call to support equity research, financial modeling, management commentary analysis, and internal investment memos.
  • Quantitative and NLP-driven analytics Use historical transcripts as structured text inputs for sentiment analysis, topic modeling, guidance extraction, and longitudinal studies across multiple quarters or issuers.
  • AI and agent-based summarization Enable agents to automatically summarize earnings calls, extract key metrics and forward-looking statements, and generate executive briefs once transcripts are published.
  • Compliance, audit, and supervision Maintain a complete, queryable record of management communications for regulatory review, surveillance, and internal compliance workflows.
  • Event study and backtesting workflows Align transcript content with price, volume, volatility, or options data around historical events to study market reactions to specific language or disclosures.
  • Knowledge management and search Ingest transcripts into internal knowledge bases, vector stores, or enterprise search systems to support natural-language querying across historical earnings content.
  • Competitor and peer analysis Systematically analyze transcripts from peer companies or competitors to track strategic themes, capital allocation commentary, and shifts in management tone over time.
  • Content and fintech platform integration Power earnings-call replay experiences, transcript viewers, and searchable archives within research platforms, investor portals, and fintech applications using a single API.

Highlights

  • Comprehensive access to historical earnings transcripts Programmatic retrieval of finalized transcripts and event metadata for completed earnings calls and related corporate events, delivered in a clean, machine-readable format.
  • Flexible query and retrieval options Supports latest-event defaults, last N events, date-range filtering, and direct lookup by eventId, enabling both lightweight and large-scale analytical workflows.
  • Consistent, event-centric data model Uses the same eventId and ticker-based keys as the Earnings Call Calendar, making it easy to join transcripts with calendars, materials, prices, and other viaNexus datasets.
  • Optimized for analytics and AI workflows Designed for NLP, sentiment analysis, summarization, compliance review, and agent-driven research without vendor-specific parsing or manual processing.
